Job summary

Triangle Cyber, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Manager for the 2nd shift to provide on-site incident management support for a large federal client in Arlington, VA. The role centers on triaging incidents, correlating data to detect trends, and applying defense-in-depth strategies.

The candidate will research known resolution steps, apply cybersecurity concepts to defend networks, and monitor external threat data to maintain currency on CND conditions.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 2+ years of directly relevant experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent experience (4+ years hands-on).
• Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-62 (latest revision) and FISMA reporting.
• Knowledge of the National Cyber Incident Scoring System.
• Knowledge of general attack stages and vulnerability types.
• Knowledge of basic system administration and OS hardening techniques.
• Knowledge of different operational threat environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform CND incident triage determining scope, urgency, and impact.
• Correlate incident data to identify trends.
• Recommend defense-in-depth principles and practices.
• Research and compile resolution steps to mitigate CND incidents.
• Apply cybersecurity concepts to detection and defense of intrusions; analyze logs.
• Monitor external data sources to stay current on CND threat conditions.
