Job summary

BCMC is seeking a Cyber Shift Incident Manager to support a U.S. Government customer with on-site incident response. The role covers 2: M-F, 1400-2200, on-site in Arlington, VA, coordinating investigations, mitigation planning, and restoration of services.

Responsibilities include correlation of incident data, triage, and documentation from detection to resolution, with strong emphasis on NIST/FISMA practices and security best practices across diverse enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Incident Management, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience handling cyber incidents and prioritizing triage.
• Knowledge of NIST/FISMA reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Correlate incident data to identify trends.
• Conduct CND incident triage: scope, urgency, impact.
• Develop mitigation steps and workarounds for incidents.
• Apply cyber security concepts to detect and defend intrusions.
• Monitor threat data sources for enterprise impact.
• Track incidents from detection to final resolution with stakeholders.
