Job summary

BCMC is seeking a Cyber Shift Incident Manager to support a U.S. Government customer, handling on-site incident response and investigations to characterize breaches and develop mitigations in Arlington, VA. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, U.S.

citizenship, and 2+ years in cyber incident management. Duties include incident triage, applying defense-in-depth strategies, and coordinating with stakeholders. The shift is M-F 1400-2200, on-site only.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly relevant experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations.
• Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies.
• Knowing NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System for triage prioritization.
• Familiarity with various attack stages and vulnerability types.

Responsibilities

• Correlating incident data to identify trends in reported incidents.
• Recommending defense in depth principles and practices.
• Performing CND incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and impact.
• Researching and compiling known resolution steps to enable mitigation.
• Applying cybersecurity concepts to detection and defense of intrusions and analyzing log data.
• Monitoring external data sources to stay current on threat conditions.
• Identifying incident causes and key questions for external entities.
• Receiving and analyzing network alerts and coordinating information for ongoing incidents.
• Providing support during assigned shifts (Shift 2, M-F 1400-2200).
