Job summary

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oklahoma, part of ACCEL Schools, seeks a qualified Virtual Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students using an online platform. The role focuses on implementing IEPs, MTSS, and compliant recordkeeping while delivering high-quality instruction remotely with periodic in-person state testing and events.

Candidates should have a Masters degree, state SPED certification, and at least 3 years of teaching experience, including special education.

Qualifications

• Assist with the implementation of the IEP for each student served
• Write IEPs in a timely manner
• Participate in MTSS
• Maintain student records according to federal, state and local mandates
• Complete all paperwork within timelines

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1, in small groups or in whole class sessions with students
• Attend IEP and other meetings for students with disabilities
• Prepare and administer assessments as directed
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, psychologists and staff
• Keep accurate student records and progress reports
