Job summary

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oklahoma, part of ACCEL Schools, seeks a leader to oversee and develop innovative special education services, ensure compliance, and lead the Special Education team within Oklahoma.

A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred; active Oklahoma Special Education license; strong data analysis and confidentiality; responsibilities include hiring and coordinating with agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Active Oklahoma Special Education license.
• Strong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret student data.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with state rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and development of innovative special education services to meet diverse student needs and ensure quality of education and compliance
• Contribute to the leadership team as an active member of the Administrative Staff; assist in development and training of the school philosophy of special education
• Maintain compliance with paperwork and service time for the assigned caseload
• Assist in hiring and oversee the training of all Special Education staff
• Act as point of contact with agencies providing related services to students and manage contracts with supervisor
