Job summary

Michigan Online School seeks a School Operations Manager to supervise the operations team and collaborate with the leadership team to design and implement procedures for a state-wide online school.

Responsibilities include overseeing student records, testing, attendance, and office management, while ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws. Strong leadership, communication, and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Strong spreadsheet skills with basic/intermediate formulas.
• Prior experience in a school setting preferred.
• Experience managing law and regulation compliance.
• Experience creating and documenting procedures/workflows.
• Ability to handle confidential information with sound judgment.
• Reliable, dependable work ethic.
• Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations.
• Sound judgment after gathering information.
• Mature attitude and insight into matters affecting department, self and/or company welfare.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student records, local/state testing, attendance, and facilities with the operations team.
• Provide resolution for escalated needs across policies, technology, and materials.
• Serve as liaison between school team and Accel leadership to align procedures.
• Act as a member of the school leadership team.
• Develop, document, and archive operational procedures and workflows.
• Audit existing procedures and identify opportunities to streamline.
• Stay up to date on DOE and sponsor policies and state laws.
• Manage all student information per state and federal law.
• Coordinate communication with external vendors as needed.
• Performs all other job duties as assigned.
