Job summary

New Mexico Highlands University’s Language Learning Center is hiring Academic Support Aides to tutor Spanish or ASL online for on-campus programs. You’ll work with NMHU students and faculty, delivering beginner to intermediate tutoring and supporting bilingual initiatives.

As a NMHU student (6+ credit hours) you’ll gain valuable experience in virtual instruction, data entry, and student services while helping build a welcoming learning environment and contributing to LLC outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Must be NMHU student enrolled in minimum 6 credit hours.
• Demonstrable high proficiency in Spanish or ASL or both.
• Experience with online tutoring and virtual learning tools is valued.

Responsibilities

• Tutor and assist Spanish or ASL students online.
• Provide online instruction individually or in small groups.
• Organize online tutoring sessions and activities for students.
• Attend webinar training with LLC Director and faculty.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and progress.
