ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for an online program serving Ohio students. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, conducting assessments, writing IEPs, and improving student outcomes while supporting social-emotional development.

Applicants must hold a current Ohio Intervention Specialist License and be able to travel for state testing and events a few times per year. The starting salary ranges from $48,000 to $52,000 with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License is required.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Multicultural setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers interpreting abilities and disabilities, assisting in intervention strategies and modifying general education curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Relentlessly work to meet goals related to student achievement and culture, and state-specific goals.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices in daily lessons and interactions.
