Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist for a virtual position with periodic in-person events for state testing and student activities. The role emphasizes rigorous, nurturing instruction and social-emotional development, aligned with IEP goals for students in the program.

Responsibilities include collaborating with teachers, conducting assessments, writing behavior plans, and facilitating IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in inclusion/co-teaching models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Work with teachers to interpret student abilities and disabilities and adapt interventions.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals.
• Engage families regarding student growth.
• Support planning of non-instructional activities and events.
