Job summary

UC Berkeley Extension (UNEX) invites applications for instructors to teach one or more online courses in Construction Management and Sustainable Management within the Engineering, Technology, and Environmental Management department. Courses are offered online via Zoom and Canvas, with evening and weekend schedules in Pacific Time.

All work is performed in the United States and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent international degree required.
5 or more years of professional industry experience in Construction Management or Sustainable Management since degree.
Teaching, training, coaching or mentoring experience in the course subject, within a U.S. corporate environment, or at a U.S. college/university institution.
6 or more years of professional industry experience in the subject area preferred.
Experience teaching online and/or developing academic content for online courses.

Responsibilities

Syllabus development and lesson planning for class meetings.
Deliver lectures, presentations, and learning activities for required hours of instruction.
Review and update Canvas course sites and required texts/materials.
Respond to student questions in a timely manner and manage assessments.
Utilize course support platforms such as Zoom, Canvas, and Google Workspace.
