Job summary

Coastal Alabama Community College seeks an Instructional Designer & Technologist at the Bay Minette campus to provide instructional design and technology support across all campuses. The role develops online/hybrid course roadmaps, creates engaging content, and helps faculty apply instructional technology, with travel to other Coastal Alabama campuses as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Five years of related experience.
Demonstrated experience with instructional design models. Samples of demonstrated experience are required to be included with the application packet.
Demonstrated experience writing effective copy, instructional text, and/or video scripts. Samples of demonstrated experience are required to be included with the application packet.
Demonstrated experience conducting professional development workshops. Samples of demonstrated experience are required to be included with the application packet.

Responsibilities

Develop instructional roadmaps for online and hybrid courses and programs.
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
Adapt instructional content or delivery methods for different levels or types of learners.
Use assistive technology and ensure WCAG compliance in instructional materials.
Travel to multiple campus locations to conduct trainings and professional development sessions.
Assist with ADA compliant course and training material development and DOE/SACSCOC documentation.
