Legends Virtual Academy (LVA), a Stride K12 partner school, is seeking an Academic Administrator/Principal to direct and coordinate educational, administrative and counseling activities for students in a largely virtual setting.

The role requires a Master’s degree in education or related field, Alabama Educational Leadership Certificate, five years of educational experience, and at least one year of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, education or a related field is required.
• Five years of educational experience are required.
• One year of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates educational, administrative and counseling activities of students.
• Researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources meeting state standards.
• Manages teaching and administrative staff and programs.
• Communicates the school's mission and vision for stakeholders in a virtual environment.
• Confers with teachers, students and parents on educational and behavioral issues.
• Coordinates with enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals.
• Ensures compliance with laws and develops the Academic Improvement Plan.
