Job summary

Stride K12's Legends Virtual Academy is seeking an Academic Administrator/Principal to lead educational, administrative and counseling activities for students in a predominantly virtual environment. The role requires an Alabama-resident holder of an Educational Leadership certificate with a master's degree and several years of supervisory experience to drive a data-driven, student-centered program. The work is remote, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, education or related field.
• Five years of educational experience.
• One year of supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Ability to clear required background check.
• Residence in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local standards through evaluation, development and coordination activities.
• Manages teaching and administrative staff; Manages Master and Lead Teachers and programs.
• Articulates the school's mission and vision with stakeholders using remote communication technologies.
• Coordinates with teacher and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals.
• Develops and oversees implementation of the school's Academic Improvement Plan.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.
