Job summary

California Virtual Academies seeks a High School Physics teacher to deliver standards-based instruction in a virtual setting. You will manage a caseload of physics and homeroom students, providing guidance, feedback, and assessments within three days of submission.

You will collaborate with regional leads, coordinate testing, and participate in state testing, parent conferences, and in-person events when possible. A California teaching credential is required.

Qualifications

• Must reside in California.
• Bachelor's degree required and valid California Single Subject Teaching credential in Physics.
• English Learner Authorization required by CTC.
• Strong content and subject-matter knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Orient students to courses and requirements via email, phone, or online tools.
• Support homeroom students with attendance and progress tracking.
• Provide direct instruction and assessment in an online classroom.
• Proctor state testing and coordinate with site staff as needed.
• Communicate with families regularly and document interactions.
