Job summary

Herzing University seeks a Manager, Faculty Operations for the Online MSN-Direct Entry program to coordinate faculty scheduling, onboarding, and resource access, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning environments.

Reporting to the Program Chair, you will lead faculty development, monitor compliance with SOPs, support accreditation materials, and foster collaborative, inclusive academic service across the department.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Nursing.
• 3 years of experience as a faculty member at an institution of higher education.
• Online teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate faculty teaching schedules, classroom assignments, and coverage for absences.
• Assist with faculty onboarding, orientation, and training logistics.
• Provide guidance to faculty on the use of institutional technology and resources.
• Assist faculty in accessing instructional materials, technology support, and student information systems.
• Conduct classroom observation process in alignment with university SOPs.
• Ensure pre-term and end-of-term course activities are completed in conjunction with university SOPs.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and inclusive environment among faculty.
• Monitor the development and fulfillment of faculty development plans and the completion of aligned development activities.
• Ensure faculty complete all required development and training.
• Collaborate with Faculty Development Specialists (FDSs) to coach and develop faculty instructional strategies.
• Provide support to assigned faculty meetings, workshops, and development/training activities.
• Support the Department Chair or Program Chair in preparing materials for accreditation, regulatory, or advisory board meetings.
• Monitor faculty compliance with institutional policies and deadlines.
• Maintain up-to-date faculty contact lists and distribute relevant communications.
• Distribute program updates, policy changes, and event information to faculty.
• Assist with preparation and submission of reports related to faculty activities and program operations.
