Job summary

Covista is seeking a BSN Program Mentor to deliver Chamberlain Care through proactive academic coaching and NCLEX-focused readiness strategies. You will mentor students individually and in small groups, assess learning styles, and develop personalized plans for persistence and success within the online BSN program.

Responsibilities include facilitating virtual labs, supporting remediation of nursing skills, and maintaining proactive outreach with academic leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum 5+ years RN clinical practice experience.
• 2+ years in academic/instructional/support role.
• 1+ year online teaching/coaching in prelicensure program preferred.
• Excellent communication across phone, computer, and virtual platforms.
• Experience using Canvas LMS for course delivery and student engagement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Maintains current Illinois RN license and compact RN license.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• CHSE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive outreach and sustained mentoring to BSN students.
• Support NCLEX readiness with individualized study plans and workshops.
• Deliver limited instruction in lecture, lab, clinical, or simulation.
• Collaborate with academic leadership and document student progress.
• Maintain virtual availability including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Coordinate virtual lab experiences and act as faculty in virtual labs when required.
• Assist in remediation of technical nursing skills in alignment with course requirements.
• Contribute to retention strategies through outreach to at-risk students.
• Ensure compliance with Chamberlain policies and standards.
