University of Southern California is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Content and Pedagogy for Teaching Geometric Reasoning in the MIAA program. The 8-week online course emphasizes geometric concepts, spatial reasoning, and instructional design aligned with California standards, serving elementary and middle school teacher candidates.
The candidate will teach online, assess assignments, provide feedback, and participate in program improvement activities.
Formación
- Minimum five years of successful full-time K-12 mathematics teaching experience in diverse settings.
- Strong background in mathematics content and pedagogy including geometric reasoning and related concepts.
- Experience in teacher education or mathematics leadership in a school or district setting.
Responsabilidades
- Provide course instruction online through Zoom and LMS.
- Guide candidates in analyzing student thinking, addressing misconceptions, and designing responsive instruction for two- and three-dimensional geometry concepts.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates, evaluate assignments, and contribute to course improvement.
