Job summary
The University of Southern California Rossier School of Education seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach an 8-week course in Content and Pedagogy for Teaching Geometric Reasoning. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of full-time K–12 math teaching, deep math content knowledge and pedagogy, and online teaching experience
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of full-time K–12 mathematics teaching experience.
- Strong background in mathematics content and pedagogy, including geometric reasoning, spatial reasoning, and related topics.
- Experience in teacher education and/or mathematics leadership in a school or district setting.
- Graduate-level online teaching experience and proficiency using Zoom and a Learning Management System.
Responsibilities
- Provide online instruction as a subject matter expert in mathematics content and pedagogy for the MIAA program.
- Guide candidates in analyzing student thinking, identifying misconceptions, and designing responsive instruction.
- Evaluate assignments and assign grades in the LMS; communicate regularly with candidates.
- Contribute to course and program improvement through faculty/advisory board participation.
