Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is seeking experienced K-12 educators to provide personalized 1-on-1 English tutoring to North American students online. You set a regular weekly schedule for 50-minute lessons in a supportive online classroom.

You’ll help students grow, build rapport, and maintain a reliable, on-time presence. This independent contractor role requires a Bachelor’s Degree, 3 years of teaching experience, and proficiency with the Cosmo curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required for eligibility.
• Minimum 3 years teaching grades K-12 in ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• Fast, reliable internet and a Windows or Mac PC (minimum CPU 6000).
• Commit to at least 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available 3–10 PM EST Mon–Fri or weekends; minimum 20 hours weekly.
• Must currently reside in the United States or Canada.
• Must be approachable, patient, adaptive and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction to students.
• Update availability in the Cosmo App promptly.
• Prepare age-appropriate lesson materials.
• Submit class feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students professionally.
• Attend all classes on time in a suitable setting.
• Coordinate with Cosmo staff as needed.
