Responsibilities

• Provide clinical speech pathology services to patients.
• Perform diagnostic speech pathology tests and evaluate communication and swallowing.
• Interpret and report test results to aid medical diagnosis.
• Counsel patients and families about communication and diagnosis.
• Determine therapy plans, frequency, focus, prognosis and duration.
• Select assistive speech devices to improve communication.
• Re-evaluate progress after therapy.
• Maintain records and equipment; communicate results to schools and outside agencies.
