Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to support diagnostic testing and patient care. You will evaluate, interpret, and report on speech and swallowing function, and provide counseling to patients and families.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Ohio license, and CCC-SLP credentials. Responsibilities include therapy planning, device selection, and patient progress evaluation in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Holds or is eligible for a Speech-Language Pathology License (SP) in Ohio.
• CCC-SLP certification required (ASHA).
• Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology and successful clinical fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures.
• Evaluate communication and swallowing function of patients.
• Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis.
• Provide counseling and education about communication and diagnosis to patients and families.
• Determine therapeutic plans, including therapy frequency, focus, prognosis and duration.
• Select assistive speech devices to improve communication.
• Perform re-evaluation to measure progress after therapy.
• Maintain records of all services.
• Communicate results and recommendations to referral sources and outside agencies.
• Assist with planning, budget, service or project development, fee setting and purchase of equipment or materials.
