Qualifications

• Required knowledge, skills & abilities include: basic math, ability to read manuals, write documents, and follow complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials under teacher direction to support participation of all students.
• Administers tests, homework, and records for evaluating progress and meeting individual needs.
• Provides first aid and medical assistance as required.
• Supports students with personal care needs to enable participation in school activities.
• Attends meetings and in-service trainings to stay informed about job functions.
• Communicates with teachers and parents about student progress and IEP objectives.
• Implements behavioral plans for students with behavior disorders and other needs.
• Instructs students in activities to reinforce instructional objectives and remediation.
• Maintains student files and instructional materials for availability and accuracy.
