Job summary

Boston Public Schools Mattahunt Elementary is seeking a One-to-One Paraprofessional to support individual students and participate in daily instruction under the supervision of a classroom teacher. Responsibilities include assisting with activities, transfer support, and implementing instructional plans tailored to the student’s needs.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 48 college credits or an Associate’s degree or ParaPro/WorkKeys certification, ABA training, and U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree, or ParaPro/WorkKeys certification.
• Experience with a student with disabilities.
• Ability to work with parents/administrators, teachers and students.
• ABA training and U.S. work authorization by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction in small groups and daily activities.
• T toileting, diapering, lifting, transfers; maintain hygiene.
• Assist with language systems, Braille, ABA, behavior management.
• Collaborate with classroom teacher on lesson plans.
• Communicate openly with parents and staff.
• Perform other duties as requested by administrators.
