The One-to-One Paraeducator in Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership supports students with moderate to severe needs by implementing rigorous academic and behavior interventions. Working with a small caseload, you will collaborate with families and teachers to help students succeed in the classroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 60 college credits or an associate degree, or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to set ambitious, tangible goals and pursue them.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment and stay focused.
• Experience supporting students with diverse needs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of academic and behavior interventions.
• Support assigned student(s) and families in collaboration with teachers.
• Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Help students master state, city, and school standards.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
