Dinwiddie County Public Schools in Dinwiddie, Virginia seeks an Exceptional Education Paraprofessional - One to One to assist in the instruction and care of students with disabilities. The role includes personal care, health monitoring, and one-on-one instruction in a structured environment, reporting to the Principal.

The position is a 10-month, full-time role (190 contracted days) with duties that include maintaining health awareness, assisting in lessons, and ensuring a safe classroom

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Paraprofessional License or have completed 48 college credits or hold an associate degree.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction and care of students with disabilities.
• Provide personal care and health monitoring as required.
• Support one-on-one and small group instruction in structured environments.
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of materials.
• Communicate safety and student needs to staff and teachers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
