Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator, Learning Support to provide one-on-one assistance to students under the supervision of a licensed teacher. This 6.5-hour-per-day position runs nine months a year, with duties focused on supporting individualized learning goals and classroom activities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and either official transcripts showing an Associate's degree or 72 quarter/48 semester credits, or a ParaPro assessment score of 461 or

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and either 1) Associate's degree (90 quarter/60 semester credits) or 72 quarter/48 semester credits from an accredited institution, or 2) ParaPro assessment 461+.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist students under teacher supervision in classrooms and activities.
• Support individualized goals and adapt materials as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage student data with accuracy.
• Assist with data entry, records, and filing as needed.
• Support certified staff in planning and evaluating student learning goals.
