Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in K-12 settings. You will work one-on-one according to IEPs, implement and adjust behavior plans, and track progress within a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, safety, and collaboration with families. A high school diploma is required, with prior education-based behavioral experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in educational settings with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist one-on-one with assigned student according to IEP and provide accommodations as needed.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management as necessary to maintain safety.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide personal care support as needed and communicate with parents.
