Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is hiring a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs under an IEP.

You will work one-on-one or in small groups, implement behavior plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to foster a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include recording data, applying de-escalation strategies, and communicating with families while maintaining safety and inclusivity in diverse classrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned student per IEP and provide accommodations.
• Record data on behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to implement behavior support plans.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis management as needed to ensure safety.
• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
