CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking an One Call Admission Coordinator to manage all incoming calls from external facilities requesting patient admission or transfer to HPMC. The role also handles internal bed placement with nursing and Admitting teams.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service and telephone skills, understands payer criteria, and can navigate a busy hospital admissions environment while maintaining privacy and compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Thorough understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly admissions and transfer criteria.
• Knowledge of various payers (Managed Care, Medicare, Medi-Cal, others).
• Excellent telephone skills and customer service orientation.
• Strong problem-solving and written/verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a union environment.

Aufgaben

• Collaborates with departments for patient admission/transfer to HPMC.
• Receives and coordinates all One Call inquiries to admit/transfer patients.
• Adheres to metrics: respond within 30 minutes for One Call requests.
• Identify alternative placements for patients when needed for safety.
• Communicates with physicians, Admissions, case management, and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with billing data logs and privacy standards.
• Create Shell accounts in Paragon and support IT improvements for tracking.
