Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a WOCN (Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse Practitioner) to provide direct patient care for adults with wound, ostomy or continence needs in the Cancer Center. The NP will perform exams, order labs and imaging as needed, prescribe interventions, and lead care coordination with surgical and oncology specialists.

Requirements include completion of an accredited NP program with certification as Adult, GerIatric, Acute Care or Family NP; WOCN certification is required.

Qualifications

• Accredited NP program completion required.
• Must hold NP certification (Adult/Geriatric/Acute Care or Family).
• WOCN certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adults with wound, ostomy, or continence issues.
• Perform physical exams, order diagnostics, prescribe interventions and medications.
• Collaborate with colorectal surgeons, urologists, GYN oncologists, and radiation oncologists.
• Educate and mentor nursing staff and coordinate care across teams.
