Job summary

NEBRASKA HEMATOLOGY ONCOLOGY (NHO) seeks a Clinical Trials Advanced Practice Provider to plan, direct, and evaluate oncology/hematology patient care in ambulatory settings, while working with clinical trial staff and investigators.

The role includes conducting comprehensive assessments, ordering tests, writing prescriptions, and performing procedures within approved protocols. The APRN/PA will serve as a Sub-Investigator and coordinate trial-related activities with the research team.

Qualifications

• Formal educational program that meets criteria for the profession and is certifiable.
• Ability to perform comprehensive assessments through history and physical exam.
• Proficiency in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to oncology/hematology patients receiving treatments.
• Act as Sub-Investigator for clinical studies per protocol and SOPs.
• Coordinate referrals and educational activities for patients and families.
• Collect and manage data, document in trial records, and ensure protocol compliance.
• Prescreen and identify study candidates and assess eligibility criteria.
• Assist in acquisition and handling of study drugs and procedures as required.
