Job summary

Oncology Hematology Associates seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist physicians in patient care and teaching. The role includes evaluating patients, ordering treatments, and participating in clinical trials.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited NP/PA program, a master's degree, and state APRN/PA licensure with prescriptive privileges. On-site, with potential for rounds and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
• Master's degree required.
• APRN or PA license in appropriate state.
• Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
• Current ANCC or ONS certification (AOCN-P).
• Current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients by interview, health history, and exams.
• Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, and follow-up studies per protocols.
• Determine eligibility of patients for entry into clinical trials.
• Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests; relay information to the collaborating physician.
• Provide on-call coverage and perform hospital rounds as needed.
