Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a qualified Triage Nurse to provide oncology-specific triage, patient education, and symptom management. The role supports care teams, coordinates patient resources, and ensures clear communication across disciplines.

Requires RN licensure (multistate or FL), 2+ years RN experience with oncology, and BLS. Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred; Bachelor’s degree preferred. On-site at Naples Pine Ridge Office with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license (multistate or Florida single state) required
• Minimum of Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Triage oncology patient calls under supervision, following policies and guidelines
• Monitor and manage patient symptoms
• Care plan coordination to minimize ED visits and readmissions
• Assess barriers to care for patients and families
• Provide patient education and referrals to resources
• Assist physicians and APPs with patient interactions and documentation
• Maintain professional boundaries with patients and care team
• Facilitate communication among the cancer care team to prevent delayed care
• Review and report diagnostic tests to assess patient condition
• Provide education on chemotherapy, radiation, and infusion treatments
