Job summary

AONN American Oncology Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to handle patient calls, collaborate with nurses and physicians, and route questions to the appropriate clinical staff. The role supports hospice and home health inquiries and maintains clear documentation across sites.

The position requires an active RN license, CPR/BLS, and experience with hematology/oncology patients. Travel to clinics is required; standard hours are weekdays with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• RN with nursing degree and current licensure in the state of employment.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to clinics as needed.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in clinic or hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from patients and home health agencies using nursing assessment skills.
• Consult with physicians and nurses to resolve patient questions and direct calls appropriately.
• Keep a daily log of calls and chart decisions; pull charts for nurses/doctors as needed.
• Coordinate hospice and home health inquiries and document physician decisions.
• Handle prescription refill requests per company procedure.
• Work at multiple company locations and be available for overtime as needed.
