Job summary

You will perform vital signs, assist with exams and minor procedures, coordinate referrals and scheduling, and help maintain accurate medical records with a patient-centered approach.

The role requires completing an approved Medical Assistant training program and active MA certification, strong computer skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (RMA/CMA/CCMA/NCMA) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam and record vitals; document pain scores.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures (BP, temp, phlebotomy, EKG).
• Coordinate patient care: referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, scheduling.
• Maintain medical records and ensure accurate billing information.
• Maintain clean, safe exam rooms; disinfect equipment per guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medications as directed.
• Communicate with patients and external/internal staff; foster service orientation.
• Complete onboarding and simulation training as needed.
• Work under providers' supervision and interact with all care teams.
