Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification required; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam by taking vital signs and documenting chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures (blood pressure, EKGs, phlebotomy).
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and timely billing information.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and equipment, following sterilization guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medications and recalls.
• Communicate with external and internal customers to support patient care.
