Job summary

Intermountain Health Cancer Center at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Sterile Compounding to support oncology infusion services. You will prepare sterile medications in a USP-compliant clean room and work with pharmacists, nurses, and clinicians to ensure safe, timely delivery.

The role emphasizes hazardous drug handling, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance within a fast-paced cancer care setting.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded medications in a USP and USP compliant clean room environment.
• Safely prepare, handle, transport, and dispose of hazardous medications, including antineoplastic agents used in oncology infusion therapy.
• Support pharmacy operations through inventory management, medication assistance, medication procurement, purchasing support, and supply management activities.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and workflow improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, providers, and other caregivers to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication preparation and delivery.
