Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II - Certified to join our outpatient oncology pharmacy team, delivering optimal medication management across care dimensions. Monday-Friday; 7:00am-5:00pm, rotating shifts; hospital experience and sterile compounding experience required.

You will work under oncology pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate medication preparation and delivery, managing hazardous and non-hazardous admixtures while maintaining regulatory standards and timely

Qualifications

• Two pharmacy skills required: sterile compounding and medication distribution.
• Outpatient oncology experience and sterile compounding of IV/chemo admixtures required.
• Current registry with State Board(s) of pharmacy; PTCB or NHA certification within 60 days of hire or enrollment in pharmacy program (FPEGG/FPGEC).
• Active in pharmacy school or FPGEE/FPGEC accepted within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Compounding and delivery of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous sterile admixtures.
• Processing refills to automated dispensing machines and replenishments to emergency kits and carts.
• Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.
• Maintaining regulatory requirements for USP797/800, Board of Pharmacy, DHHS, DEA.
• Procuring medications and supplies (site specific).
• Answering and screening telephone calls and referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate.
• Flexibility to travel to other cancer institutes and/or infusion centers as needed.
