Job summary

Compass Oncology in Tigard, Oregon seeks a dedicated Sterile Compounding Technician to support the preparation, admixture and delivery of injectable medications for oncology patients. This full-time role supports the admix team under physician supervision, ensuring dosing accuracy, proper labeling and compliance with OSHA, US Oncology and Compass guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, Certified Pharmacy Technician training and 1–3 years of hospital or clinic pharmacy

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician training required.
• Pharmacy Technician license for Washington and/or Oregon strongly preferred.
• Minimum (1-3) years of experience in a hospital or clinic pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Previous Admixture experience required especially in oncology strongly preferred.
• Flexibility to travel between clinics as needed, requiring reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medication orders by compounding or admixing injectable medications under supervision of a physician.
• Float to other clinical sites depending on departmental need.
• Verifies patient information and provider authorization of medication orders.
• Reviews all medication orders for insurance approval before admixing medications.
• Under supervision, processes medication orders including labeling and admixture details; ensures correct dosing.
• Counts controlled substances and maintains records; keeps temperature and quality assurance logs.
• Collaborates with team on indigent patient medication program and research materials.
• Orders supplies and medications and ensures adequate stock; maintains inventory control.
