Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Pharmacist to oversee oncology and sterile compounding services across Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children's Hospital, and BUHCI clinics.

You will review chemotherapy orders, ensure safety and quality standards, mentor staff, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

This role includes teaching, ensuring compliance with USP and regulatory requirements, and supporting pharmacovigilance across affiliated centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a licensed pharmacist in Rhode Island, or 90-day temporary license with full licensure before expiration.

Responsibilities

• Know and act in accordance with Brown University Health Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team managing oncology and hematology patients.
• Maintain knowledge of compounding principles, USP guidelines, and NIOSH recommendations.
• Review and verify orders for chemotherapy and other meds for appropriateness and dosing.
• Provide input on safety, quality improvement, and staff training in oncology and sterile compounding.
