Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2 years of professional office experience with customer service.
  • Experience with electronic medical scheduling preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and greet patients courteously; route calls to the proper department.
  • Follow management policies to standardize processes across clinics.
  • Conduct patient check-out workflows per SOP.
  • Interpret orders and treatment plans into scheduled appointments.
  • Provide scheduling details and prepare documents for patients.
  • Track patients in the EHR and manage location transfers.
  • Manage cancellations/missed appointments and document outcomes.
  • Schedule all clinic, referrals, radiology, procedures, and virtual meetings.
  • Run daily reports to identify unscheduled orders and follow up.
  • Coordinate with pre-certification, insurance, and quality programs.
  • Ensure proper billing documents accompany orders when needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies; travel to clinics as needed.
