Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Oncology Scheduler on an as-needed basis. Typical hours align with 7:30a-4p, 8a-4:30p, or 8:30a-5p with a 30-minute lunch. The role handles scheduling for Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Chest Surgery, and IVOP using Meditech Expanse and Aria EMR.

The scheduler pre-registers patients, ensures paperwork is completed, and supports department operations. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years in a healthcare office setting; oncology office experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word and Outlook; experience with EMRs (Meditech Expanse, Aria) preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional telephone skills.
• Ability to manage multiple phone lines and prioritize tasks.

Responsabilités

• Answer scheduling related calls and schedule physician visits per practice templates.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and Office Supervisor for inquiries and communications.
• Direct calls appropriately and take accurate messages per policies and procedures.
• Maintain multiple phone lines and triage calls to the RN when needed.
• Assist in pre-registering patients and sending pre-visit paperwork.
