Advocate Health’s Levine Cancer Institute – Medical Oncology Pineville is seeking an experienced nurse leader to advance nursing practice, coordinate patient care, and drive performance in a collaborative oncology environment.

The role requires BSN, current RN licensure in the state, at least two years oncology nursing experience, and prior management; sign-on bonus eligibility, full-time, 40 hours weekly, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the relevant state.
• Minimum two years of Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience required.
• BSN degree required; non-BSN hires must enroll in BSN within 1 year and complete within 3 years.

Responsabilités

• Supports the nursing manager to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and delivery of care in the department.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department.
• Coordinates communication at regular intervals during shifts to exchange information and promote dialogue with teammates.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and policies within the department.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess and improve patient care and department operations.
• Delegates care to appropriate healthcare workers according to policy parameters.
• Assists in evaluating progress toward goals and disseminates information to the care team.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments and medications as necessary.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment of volume and acuity needs.
