Job summary

Advocate Health’s Levine Cancer Institute in Pineville seeks an experienced registered nurse leader to join our Medical Oncology team. This full-time role supports nursing leadership, coordinates care, and ensures timely, coordinated patient services.

Minimum BSN, current RN license, and oncology nursing experience required; prior management experience preferred. BSN must be pursued if not held. Sign-on bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years of Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience.
• RN candidates must be enrolled in BSN if not already.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Appropriate professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department.
• Assists with coordination of communication at regular intervals throughout shifts via staff meetings/huddles.
• Collaborates with manager to ensure understanding and compliance with laws and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care and operations.
• Delegates care elements to appropriate healthcare workers.
• Assists in identifying expected outcomes and providing direction for continuity of care/operations.
• Assists in evaluating progress toward goals and disseminates information to teammates.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments and medications as necessary.
• Coordinates patient flow staffing based on volume and acuity.
