Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Minimum two years of Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Previous management experience BSN required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Certification (clinical or leadership) within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinating communication at regular intervals through shifts via staff meetings/huddles.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws and healthcare regulations.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess satisfaction and care quality.
• Delegates care to appropriate healthcare workers per policy parameters.
• Identifies expected outcomes to direct continuity of care/department operations.
• Assists in evaluating progress toward goals and disseminates information to staff.
• Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and medications.
• Coordinates patient flow and staffing through ongoing assessment of volume and acuity.
