Advocate Health’s Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte seeks a full‑time registered nurse leader for the Breast Clinic and outpatient services. The role provides direct patient care while supporting the nurse manager in operations, coordination, and program oversight within a multidisciplinary cancer care team.

The position requires an accredited nursing program completion, an active RN license, BLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years in clinical nursing, with BSN required for continued

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical nursing.
• Previous management experience preferred
• BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program. BLS required per policy guidelines. Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, nursing service administration and delivery of care in the department
• The role provides direct patient care while assisting the nurse manager in daily operations, including coordination of patient care and outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communication, patient throughput, program development and oversight, rounding with patients, physicians, and staff, as well as staff selection, development, and retention.
• Collaborates with other clinical team members in assessing and supporting psychosocial needs of the patient/family.
