Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA to join an interdisciplinary care team focused on patient-centered care. The RN will perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, integrating research findings into practice and educating patients and families about disease processes and treatments.

Required WA RN license, BLS, and ability to obtain/maintain necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assesses physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and evaluates patients’ adaptation to health changes.
• Develops a plan of care based on disease, symptoms and response to treatment.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers on disease processes, treatment, side effects and symptom management.
• Coordinates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Refers patients and families to other clinical resources as appropriate.
• Implements, evaluates and modifies the plan of care.
• Integrates research and evidence-based knowledge into clinical practice.
