Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Oncology unit on a part-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends. The role involves inpatient oncology care, chemotherapy administration, palliative considerations, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Must be a licensed RN in Illinois with ADN; BSN pursued within three years. Unit emphasizes evidence-based practice, high-quality patient care, and ongoing staff development.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience in Oncology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, develops an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress.
• Directs care and utilizes nursing staff appropriately.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to document plans focused on outcomes.
• Participates in shared governance and unit projects.
• Evaluates patient responses and documents the plan of care.
