Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Unit on the night shift. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with 7:00pm–7:30am shifts and every-other-weekend work.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families, and other health care providers in person, by phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains knowledge of current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
