Job summary

Duke Health's Hematology/Oncology unit at the Raleigh campus is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who embraces our mission of Advancing Health Together. The role focuses on comprehensive cancer care with oncology, ICU, MSCC or ED experience preferred and requires a BSN or higher along with NC license within 90 days.

You will provide nursing care, supervise team members, and participate in quality and safety initiatives in a Magnet-designated system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN or higher nursing program is required.
• Nurses hired without a BSN must enroll in BSN within two years and complete within seven years.
• Current North Carolina nursing license orlicensure eligibility with compact license if applicable.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Use professional nursing judgment to tailor care based on patient assessment and response.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
• Act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or unit as assigned.
• Monitor equipment and resources and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Participate in professional development and pursue competency requirements.
